| Description | The following contribution is based more on assumptions intended for discussion. In Czech music of recent years there can be observed a strong tendency for an extrusion of contemporary music by early music. Processes that lead to the paradoxical situation have a number of historical reasons. New Music movement finally lost its audience because of his contempt for the audience and elitism. On the other hand, the movement for the early music apparently restores the human dimension in music with a certain degree of inaccuracy, imperfection, fragility and deep emotionality. Has the New music finally lost its battle for listener? What are her chances for the immediate future? |
