| Description | Publication is focused on the work of a significant artist Dalibor Chatrný and brings several new perspectives on his work. Mainly, the first time collectively published the artist's own texts, where the perceptive reader can trace the background and development of the creative attitudes and artistic practices. The whole book, containing nearly two thousand reproductions, is composed as a story that reveals the essence of Chatrný creation. Selection of Chatrny's life work is divided into twenty-two thematic sections, which help to understand and perceive different types of artistic expression, reflection and personal experimentation. Valuable it is the fact that in addition to reproductions of paintings, drawings, graphics and spatial objects book also contains textual records and drawing studies or comments that preceded the creation of the final work. In this aspect, the book is designed innovatively and allows reader to watch "live" the entire process of the artist's work. An important part of the publication is DVD with recordings so called optical-acoustic music - experimental films based on the artist's drawings, objects and graphics. |
