Description The energy independence, security and reliability of operating energy distribution systems, along with the use of renewable energy resources (RES), are the most important topics of energy-related research and development in recent years, which move to full smart grid expansion. Control system for smart grids is one of the hottest topics of current research in this area. The main goal of this paper is to introduce software tools which are able to manage test bed for smart grid control system testing. Smart grid is presented by small off-grid power system in form of energy independent house. This energy level has been selected to allow effective design, testing, operation and analysis of the system. The software tools is based on a distributed, intelligent approach taking into account the state of the distribution system, energy availability, and short and long-term forecasts of energy production and loads.
