| Description | Tuberculosis remains a serious medical problem at present, therefore, is this disease increased attention. For a detailed study of the development of this disease are of benefit paleopatology studies on disease monitoring of changes on the skeletal remains of historical populations. They are of direct evidence of the existence of tuberculosis and its forms in the past. The presented study is, in addition to literary and iconographic sources focused on recording the findings of bone tuberculosis in historical osteology files from the Czech lands and is the starting point for their detailed review. Has been posted, and more or less reliably documented about 74 cases of bone tuberculosis from the Czech lands from the 19 archaeological sites, dating back to the period from the eneolithic after modern period. |
