Description If we look contemporary educational debate about learning and teaching, we find a large body of technical manuals, methods and strategies for effective learning. It is impossible to assess which method is more suitable for high-quality learning and teaching, but that's not the subject of our investigation. We will look at teaching and learning perspective basic metaphors which we view as idealized types referring to the basic epistemological line on the issue of learning. The text aims to analyze the three dominant metaphors of learning that reflect certain discourses, ideas, values and attitudes in the educational debate. We firstly based on an analysis of current pedagogical discourse metaphors to describe the essential principles that we and secondly, the description of the characters used metaphors to bring an answer to the question of what moves and what metaphors move metaphors. The outcome is a description of the specific imagery of the world in which we live, and the explanation of the three specific mechanisms that metaphors trying to gain dominance in the educational debate.
