| Description | The paper is an excursion to the issue of emigration from Moravské Kopanice, from villages Starý Hrozenkov, Vápenice, Vyškovec, Lopeník and Žítková to the United States of America in the first third of the 20th century. A greater wave of emigration from this area occurred only in the early 20th century, which is how it can be caused by the poor durability of serfdom and the high indebtedness of the local population. |
