Description In our study we focus on the extent of the occurrence of clustering and switching during fluency task in patients with schizophrenia (SZ). The previous studies found that both switching and clustering were affected in patients with SZ – there were more switches and less clustering. However, it is not clear, whether it is caused by the impairment of executive functions or is related to poor vocabulary. The main goal of our study is to clarify what causes clustering and switching, therefore not only verbal fluency was examined, but also nonverbal. This poster presents mainly the methodology, specifically how the clusters and switches were counted and preliminary results from pilot study.
