Description Orofacial tumors represent important part of maxillofacial surgery. The treatment of choice for malignant tumor is the radical resections with margin of uninvolved tissue, which often causes large defect without a possibility of primary closure. Also the surgical treatment of big benign tumors can lead to similar defects. The goal of reconstructive surgery is to reestablish function and provide satisfactory cosmetic results. Primary or secondary reconstruction can restore complex, often mutilating defects in head and neck region after resection. This poster presents the basic division of reconstructive procedures and demonstrates some of them on different case reports. Thanks to reconstructive surgery we are able to treat patients with better outcomes and also better quality of life.
