| Description | This paper deals with the development of institutional physical education and sport in Modřice since 1860s to this day, in the context of the institutional physical education development in Bohemia and Moravia. Furthermore, it depicts institutional physical education in relation to the Czech-German national background, as well as the relation between physical education and the state system. The research is carried out by means of source studies and document investigations. In the context of the given locality, the investigation represents a so far unexplored theme. The research thus aims to come up with new pieces of knowledge in this field. |
