| Description | There are only few names that are so closely associated with scouting in the Czech society, such as Jaroslav Foglar. Similarly, his name is associated with the ideal of a well-lived life, with an adventure etc. Foglar's original educational system was made possible by scouting; and then Czech scouting was significantly influenced by Foglar's work. Scouting has a number of forms. One of the most interesting is connected with the concept of scouting as a civil religion. Was it also this approach shared by Jaroslav Foglar, especially in his books? This text tries to answer this question . It represents the concept of civil religion, deals with Foglar's ideal of good scout and good scout troop, with the scout promise and scout camp. |
