Description The understanding of the space, time and of the Universe has been formed through exposure in the news, and movies or in limited experiences. Students’ alternative conceptions and general knowledge make first step to improving instructional effectiveness in education research. In this paper we present the results of short empirical study that examines how students distinguish Newton's and Einstein’s views of Universe and the concept of gravity. We have looked for if students know the limits of applicability of a theory and if they have known that if we stay within those limits, we can say we have a correct theory. We have discussed students’ concepts and attitudes to scientist´s ideas. We have gradually caught more nuanced and detailed responses. Out reports should address, among other problems, the following questions: What are the similarities and differences between these theories? How did the epoch they lived, and their personalities affected the way the world perceived them?
