| Description | Solitary artwork of the painter, sculptor, graphic artist, poet and poet Vojmir Vokolek (3. 6. 1910 Pardubice - 30. 7. 2001 Pardubice) includes a wide range of paintings, graphic, sculpture and poetry created during seven decades. It has evolved from the pre-war classical forms, influenced by the great patterns of European modernity, towards the utmost economy of expression and the spirit-minded concept. Vokolek's artwork was as a whole known and presented only in fragmentary form. In its entirety was for the first time introduced only last year on the occasion of the retrospective exhibition "Missing Message" in the authors' native town Pardubice. The study traces the state of knowledge, recognition and preservation of Vokolek's life- artwork. |
