| Description | The introduction into the art of the second half of the 19th century in the city of Brno characterizes the stylistic transformations of the period of historicism. Individual arts (architecture, sculpture, painting and music) unfold their ways very independently, but towards the end of the century there is a gradual convergence in new, modern-sounding artistic performances. This was the time when a major shift in the cultural sphere began to take place: a shift from late historicism to modernism. |
