Description Twice exceptionality is a phenomenon where exceptional abilities (giftedness) are combined with various types of disabilities. In the case of a combination of giftedness and specific learning disabilities, the problems occur not only in academic performance, but also in the emotional and social areas and interfere with the daily life of the student. Excellent performance in one area and failing to succeed in other areas, despite the efforts made, can cause frustration and anger or have a negative impact on self-confidence and self-concept of student. The paper presents the results of a qualitative research survey, which focuses on specifics in the education of pupils with twice exceptionality in the primary school. The research sample consisted of four teachers and three special educators. The main aim of the research was to find out how educational process of twice-exceptional students can be adjusted to be more effective and to adress their special educational needs. The research survey was implemented through structured interviews. The interview questions were structured into six thematic units, in within which the results of the research survey are presented.
