Description Purpose – The study focuses on the analysis of the concept of onlife, as an approach that transcends the duality of two worlds - the world of sensory experience and the online world. It focuses on what the adoption of the concept of a single unified epistemic field brings and offers an application to information science and pedagogy. Design/Methodology/Approach – The study is theoretical, so it offers a critical discussion of the dualistic concept of "online and offline" and analyzes the impact of the concept of onlife on the philosophy of education seen from the perspective of information philosophy. It is based on phenomenological-pragmatist starting points, based mainly on the work of Martin Heidegger, Marc Johnson, John Dewey and Luciano Floridi. Results – The result of the paper is a new reflection on the concept of onlife from a perspective that is not Floridi's own, from the perspective of phenomenology and pragmatism, but also an indication of a possible combination of a philosophy of education and philosophy of information, which we integrate the concept of philosophy of education. Originality/Value – The paper offers its concept of reflection on the concept of onlife, as an essential building block in theoretical disciplines – philosophy of information, education, ontology, epistemology, as well as in specific applications of a library or school practice.
