Description The aim of fetal monitoring is the early detection of fetal intrauterine distress. Monitoring is performed during the prenatal period or during childbirth. Physical or electronic methods are used for monitoring. In addition to non-invasive methods, there are invasive ways to monitor the condition of the fetus. Monitoring the fetus can prevent its permanent damage by severe hypoxia with subsequent cerebral palsy, in extreme cases up to the death of the fetus.
