Description The contribution analyses the internal and external climate policy of the EU and the Czech Republic, which completely neglects gender needs. This is despite the fact that international legal requirements and expert studies in the field of climate protection stress the need for general and specific promotion of gender equality. Women cannot be seen as helpless victims of climate change, but their vulnerability to the impacts of climate change is increased compared to men. There is therefore no doubt that climate change is gendered and requires an adequate response at EU and national level.
