| Description | The aim of the workshop was to present the challenges of using language corpora in teaching and learning foreign languages. The basic characteristics of two key methodological approaches to corpus linguistics in language teaching (corpus-based and corpus-driven approach) were demonstrated on specific examples of selected languages (Latin, Ancient Greek, Academic English, Czech as a Foreign Language). The workshop participants were gradually led to think about how the process of learning vocabulary and related grammar patterns can be made more efficient with the help of corpora. |
