• Description: The present contribution discusses the question of originality of the text The Tale of Igor’s Campaign [Slovo o polku Igorevě] from the point of view of its lexemes, both appellatives and proper names, which can be of oriental origin. The etymological analysis supported by modern lexicographic literature confirms the originality of proposed Orientalisms, especially in confron­tation with the assumed Bohemisms and Hebraisms by Edward Keenan.
