| Description | The book offers an insight into the historical background of the formulation of the concept of information literacy as a tool for successful adaptation to the information society. It is not content with a historical analysis alone, but traces the broader philosophical and pedagogical background of the whole phenomenon. It relies on the ideas of Luciano Floridi, which it critically analyses. In the final part, he offers his own conceptualization of the topic, which requires - in the context of the emergence of generative systems with artificial intelligence and social change - a new, deeper understanding of the phenomenon. It shows how we must learn to work with technology in new ways in order to live in an informationally sustainable democratic society. Here, education in working with technology and information becomes a pathway to a newly understood and deeper humanism. |
