Description How do Japanese religious traditions, ancient Shinto and medieval - especially Zen - Buddhism view stones as symbols of the inanimate world? The content of the lecture will be the coexistence of the material world of humans and the supernatural worlds, illustrated by examples of calligraphy and poetry, which in Japan, like stones, trees and waterfalls, are reminders of the world of deities and Buddhas.
