Description This article seeks to intersect the concepts of genocide, racism and necropolitics regarding the maintenance and structuring of the Brazilian State through an analysis of the Jacarezinho massacre (which occurred in May 2021, in the city of Rio de Janeiro). Based on literature review we reflect on police violence with emphasis on the figure of the black peripheral subject, main target and motivation of almost all police operations in Brazilian slums that, by the way, are associated with the State itself and involved in a structural hatred. It is understood that a racialized analysis of the brutality of the Jacarezinho massacre allows us to identify the practical intersection of the concepts analyzed in this study. Thus, we conclude that police operations in peripheral territories, historically and mostly black, show that the black body is the body of the non-person, a body that is violently exposed to a politics of death.
