| Description | The seminar under the title "Among the ruins; five modern Greek poets". was conducted by Davis Ricks, Emeritus Professor at King's College London. The seminar was mainly addressed to the students, as well as to the teachers of the Deparment of Modern Greek Studies, but was open also to a larger audience. The central aim of the seminar was to understand and discuss ways in which classical antiquity was perceived in the work of five major Modern Greek poets (Palamas, Sikelianos, Seferis, Elyti and Mastoraki). |
