| Description | In a 24-member family in 9 individuals with clinical sings of long QT syndrome a mutation of KCNQ1 gene was identified. All of them showed pathological QT interval prolongation at peak exercise during bicycle ergometry compared to no.carries family members. Stress testing is therefore considered as a usefull differential diagnostic examination. |
