Description In a group of 43 patients suffering from vitiligo and 15 healthy persons some types of antibody activity with possible relationshi to autoimmunity were measured in serum. In indirect immunofluorescence with homologous melanocytes used as substrate the positivity of reactions was common (up to 72% and 33% in healthy persons respectively) according to the sensitivity of applied method). Antibodies against thyreoid perxidase (+in 27,9%), pariental cells of the stomach (+ in 27,5%), microsomes (+in 27,5%) and thyreoglobuline (+ in 13,9%) were detected.
