Description Public health insurance in Czech Republic covers only limited amount of the services. The purpose of this report is to analyze the problem of willingness to pay for health care services by the patient. Patients see the difference between the service paid full by insurance company and the charged services paid full by patient. They pay because they expect better quality of services. We are using the results of the research " Formal and informal payments for health care services in Czech Republic " made by our employees in december 2000 in Brno area. It shows that almost 18% of the Brno population understand necessity of payments in health care services.
