Description A higher incidence of prolonged post-operative dysphagia was revealed in patients with a higher intraoperative increase of the LESp (more than 15 mm Hg). This complication was not found in patients with the increase smaller than 8 mm Hg with no impact on efficacy of the surgery. Moreover, the intraoperative LESp measurement did not significantly prolong the duration of the surgery. The main factors influencing the intra-operative increase of LESp included the surgical preparation in the region of the hiatus and gastroesophageal junction and the very construction of the wrap.
