| Description | In Brno this day exist a large scale computer network owner and constructor of which are universities in Brno. This network is builded since 1993. It's a private network connected to CESNET2 NREN backbone via Masaryk university. As a transport medium is used fibre optics. Ownership of private opticable network allows us to develop applications witch high demand for bandwidth especially in medicine. PArt of our metropolitan network is dedicated for transport of medicine multimedia data. Most of Brno's hospitals and several meaningfull hospitals in other cities like IKEM and Faculty Thomayer hospital are participating on project of trasport and processing of medicine multimedia data. These activities covers a set of partial tastks and we use to name them by common name MEDIMED. In this paper we describe current state of the art of these activities running in terms of MEDIME |
