Description New religious movements, which started to be significantly active in the second half of last century, reflect the change of the situation in todays religious life. Crucial processes that define this situation are demonopolization and pluralizaiton, detraditionalization, privatization and individualization. In this situation, it is necessary to reevaluate attitudes towards conversion and creation of individual identity, which must be reflected also in the different way of viewing the relationship of young people towards religion. Religious conversion must be understood as part of creating individual biography. It is imperative that this attitude be reflected in manners of incorporating religious issues into the curricula of elementary and high schools.
