Description The paper summarizes results obtained by the studies of the palaeontological material of the vertical karstic joints in Mokrá from 2001 to 2006. The diversified assemblage of the Early Miocene (MN 4) vertebrates have been reported from the 1/2001 Turtle joint and 2/2003 Reptile joint. These assemblages document the presence of the Early Miocene climatic optimum within the area of Central Europe. Moreover, the newly discovered localities provided the oldest known terrestrial vertebrates in Moravian Karst.
