Description The contemporary globalized medial world has been implicitly bringing a new dimension of social existence of music, change of its social functions and some confusion of ideas about values in music as a result of it. The man has a feeling by his permanently being in contact with music that he is automatically taken into the values, which music can bring. It is important to come out from the certain differentiation, i.e. music is not just one whole, but is divided into sphere of art and non-art music, where one cannot supply another. Each of them has a special function and can bring quite other values to men. One of possible ways how these changes can be identified is to make considerations about a value confirming of individual kinds and genres of art and non-art music on the latent base of axiological hierarchy and stratification.
