| Description | The contribution presents selected results of the qualitative study which examined characteristics and meanings of using a contact website for sexual purposes. Based on interviews with 17 participants, four ways of online erotic dating site use were identified. These are (1) establishing only online sexual contact, (2) seeking real life sex, (3) having sexual contact both online and offline. (4) The last pattern of erotic contact website use captures the preference of having offline sex which has not been objectified. These distinguished patterns of contact website use have specific meanings for a sexual life of an Internet user. |
