| Description | he paper focuses on examination of the transformation of selected rural settlements within the hinterland of the town of Poprad with an emphasis on its impacts on quality of life. Based on semi-structured interviews with mayors of the selected settlements, several topics are followed. Firstly, we focus on content of the quality of life concept according to given responses. Later, we identify the main development strategies used in the region and the perception of possible barriers and opportunities in further progress. |
