Description | *Atrial natriuretic factor (ANP) has shown over recent decades to play an emerging role in the regulation of coronary blood flow as well as systemic blood pressure. The common polymorphism in the atrial natriuretic peptide precursor gene (NPPA), +2238 T/C, was in the previous studies associated with hypertension as well as other cardiovascular conditions. The purpose of the study was to identify the possible relationship between the +2238 T/C polymorphism and restenosis in coronary arteries stented due to the coronary artery disease (CAD). |
