| Description | This study in corpus linguistic research sees diminutives as a universal phenomenon and considers them being not only a grammatical (morphological) but also a pragmatic feature. Nevertheless, the starting point had to be the form of several Czech synthetic diminutivesof nouns as there is no semantic or pragmatic taggig of corpora. The comparison of the Czech diminutives with the corresponding parts of speeches in German and English partly confirm but also reject the existing knowledge and results of pre-corpus-based science on diminutives in Czech - German - English contrast. |
