Description Participation in the project MUNI/A/1033/2009 Spontaneous Art resulted in a chapter that offers one way of looking at adolescents' spontaneous expression. The text is devoted to the relation between art brut and the art of adolescents. The excerption of qualitative research which documents the spontaneous formation of adolescents deals with the relationship of art brut and artistic expression of adolescents. The adolescents' spontaneous art expression is interpreted as a specific type of communication, serving to express themselves. It is a natural need, essential for healthy personality development. Applying formal methods at collected data proved them as a recorded movement of thought (A. Breton). However, in the case of adolescent visual display manifests the art brut elements as the purely imaginative component. This new element of visual stimuli can be beneficial for current educational theory and practice.
