Description Authors have evaluated 28 patients (30 hips) after proximal varus femoral osteotomy for residual deformity after DDH (coxa valga) from the period 1983-1990.The mean age at the time of surgery was 28 years. The mean follow- up was 22 years. 18 patients (19 hips) were still in good function. Ten patients (11 hips) had conversion to THR at the mean of 12 years after osteotomy.Cumulative proportion of proximal femoral osteotomy in life table analysis with clinical survivorship was 0,97 in 5 years, 0,75 in 10 and 15 years and 0,68 in 20 and 25 years after surgery.
