| Description | 6) The study discusses sources that Czech structuralists and semioticians had at hand to learn about various forms of Asian theatre. Special attention is paid to the 1930s and 1940s – years in which several articles discussing Asian theatre forms appeared (published mainly in the journals). The study touches upon literature available as well as the accessibility and authors’ experience with “oriental” theatre. The study is also based on the analysis of theoretical texts within the course entitled Introduction to theory of theatre II. |
