Description Article deals with graphometry and its application as a regular psychodiagnostic method. Modern graphometry, i.e. computer-based comparative graphometry, is a transparent method based on extraction of the key information through optic-metrical analysis of graphic material. The method enables a highly detailed description of handwriting characteristics (in particular metrical parameters) and the processing of complete information for further psychodiagnostical use (e.g. personality diagnostics). Apart from general description of the method, practical use of graphometry will be observed, e.g. measurement procedures and data processing. The study is a follow-up to a doctoral research EH-IPCH (Emotions in Handwriting, Interpersonal Characteristics in Handwriting, since 2010) on the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University in Brno.
