| Description | The present team monograph, whose authors in its majority represent a group of renowned specialists, analyses several European areas in the framework of the Brno concept of philological-area studies as one of the publication outputs of a European project. It concerns the area of Russia in its synchronous and diachronous dimensions and the areas closely connected with it both in the past and in the present: Scandinavia, Central Europe and the Balkans. Though single studies contain a variety of themes and ideas, the methodological generalization and the specification of the range of philological-area studies is being accentuated. |
