The Dean of the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University announces a selection procedure for the job position of

the Head of the Department of Administrative Studies and Administrative Law

full-time, fixed term 3 years

The Department of Administrative Science and Administrative Law is a unit of the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University, engaged in educational and scientific research activities in both of these fields, namely administrative law, and traditionally, administrative science as well. In the field of education, it primarily provides teaching of mandatory subjects covering the entire scope of administrative law, including its substantive and procedural aspects, especially in the master's program Law and Legal Science, the follow-up master's program Public Administration, and also in bachelor's programs. It also offers teaching of a number of elective subjects focusing on various areas or topics falling within the framework of administrative law in both national and European contexts, as well as from the field of administrative science.

 

Main activities:

•  Responsibility for the pedagogical and scientific activities of the department and achieving the desired outputs and results,

• Personnel management of the department (motivation, evaluation, and career development of employees),

• Responsibility for the management of entrusted resources,

• Close cooperation with the faculty management,

• Own pedagogical (including preparation of study and teaching materials), scientific research, and publishing activities.

 

Qualifications and other requirements (mandatory):

• University education with a master's degree in Law,

• Academic or scientific title of Professor or Associate Professor (Docent),

• At least 10 years of professional experience in the field,

• Active pedagogical and scientific activity and willingness to guarantee specialized subjects taught at the department,

• Personal and professional prerequisites for leading the department,

• Ability to teach and publish in Czech and English, additional language skills are an advantage,

• Fulfillment of the conditions according to Act No. 451/1991 Coll., as amended, not required for persons born after 1 December 1971,

• Moral integrity.
