The aim of the XXXVI Annual Meeting of European Culture Collections´ Organisation (ECCO 2017) is to develop a platform for contacts and discussions between experts from culture collections to support cooperation between professionals in this field. All topics related to the microbial taxonomy (e.g. identification, typing, chemotaxonomy), utilization of microorganisms (e.g. biotechnology) and contributions dealing with all practical aspects and administrative demands of the culture collections activities (e.g. cryopreservation, patent strains, the Nagoya protocol) can be presented in the frame of the ECCO 2017 meeting.
