  • Cílem pobytu je studium na summer school a připojení se do výzkumu pod supervizí Christophera Johnstona (Assistant Professor).Dále budu navazovat na svoje předchozí pobyty v UMN. V neposlední řadě bych zde ráda dosbírala poslední data pro svoji dizertační práci. Dále budu participovat na vedení workshopu zaměřeného na moc a útlak v sociální realitě.

  • Krátká výzkumná stáž zaměřená na výzkum k dizertační práci.

  • Cílem pobytu je krátkodobá studijní stáž zaměřená na internacionalizaci kurikula a navázání dlouhodobé spolupráce s partnerskou univerzitou. Stáž je orientována na prohlubování cultural sensitivity a diversity awareness. Krátkodobé studium na University of Minnesota bude koncipováno ze sérií workshopů a akademických lekcí, které přinesou vhled do studia interkulturního vzdělávání. Součástí pobytu jsou oborové exkurze do místních inkluzivních škol. Stáž bude zakončena účastí na Mestenhauserově sympoziu.

  • Stáž je zaměřena na realizaci dizertačního projektu (finální verze polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s učiteli pracujícími s migranty). Se Scottem jsem se setkala v ČR a naplánovala jsem s ním možnosti, které mi univerzita může nabídnout. Jsem s ním domluvena na konzultacích s kolegy, kteří se věnují diskurzivní analýze a vizuální metodologii. V současnosti ladíme přesný harmonogram mého pobytu a seznam předmětů, které mohu stínovat jako druhý učitel. Na univerzitě se zapojím na jeden měsíc do výuky, kde budu pozorovat přípravu učitelů a jak na University of Central Florida pracují s jejich osobnostně profesním rozvojem.

  • Účelem mého pobytu v Minneapolis je účast na letní škole pro doktorandy. V rámci letní školy budu studovat následující předměty: OLPD 5132 - Intercultural Education and Training OLPD 8015 - Inquiry Strategies OLPD 8062 - Human Resources in International Organizations Účelem pobytu je také sběr dat pro dizertační práci a internacionalizaci.

  • Studentka Markéta Sedláková stráví první měsíc na OLPD Ph.D. zaměřenou na Comparative and International Development Education (CIDE) Track: Leadership for Intercultural and International Education Program. V termínu od 19.6. do 19.7. 2017 About the Program This cohort-based doctorate program for international educators and those interested in leadership in international/intercultural contexts, is oriented toward working professionals and is specifically designed to meet the needs of leaders working in highly diverse organizational settings. It is possible to remain fully employed while studying for this advanced degree. Students enrolled in the program spend three weeks on the U of MN-Twin cities campus for three summers (typically late June through mid-July) and complete courses offered online during the fall and spring semesters. Students also complete a 24 credit dissertation. This is often a dissertation thesis, the results of which, provide a contribution to their own organization as well as a related professional field. http://www.cehd.umn.edu/OLPD/grad-programs/CIDE/LIIE/default.html 20. července až 20. srpna bude vytvářet nový sylabus a materiály kurzu Diversity in schools ve spolupráci s Dr. Renatou Tichou a dr. Brianem Abberym (Center for Community Outreach). A od 20. srpna až do 18. září bude na stáži u Dr. Gayle Wudruf (ředitelka systémové internacionalizace UMN) a bude spolupracovat s jejím týmem na internacionalizaci kurikula. A během celého pobytu bude studentka provádět šetření a využívat dostupné zdroje UMN k zpracování dizertační práce (Každodennost vědění imigrantů).

  • FAITHS OF THE WORLD: PERSPECTIVES FROM ISLAM What? The aim of the course is to provide an introduction to Islam, its beliefs, practices and significance for young European people today. It follows many previous courses at the ASHA Centre that have been either about Interfaith Dialogue in general or Islam, or other religions such as Hinduism. Why? In terms of population, antiquity, historical influence and cultural richness Islam is one of the most significant forces in world history. This relevance has not diminished, and if anything an understanding of Islam is even more important for modern young Europeans than ever before. Islam also has much to say about the relationship between different cultures and faiths, and this aspect of the religion will be explored in particular. How? The course will use non-formal educational methods, including presentations, group work, sharings and games. Specific sessions will include a visit to a mosque, question and answer sessions with Muslims about their religion, story-telling and an exploration of Islamic history and philosophy.
