The author’s intention of the explicit project „The Czech Local Politics – Transition and Consolidation“ is to carry out an analysis of the communal politics between the years 1989 and 2006 based on a case study of the peripheral districts of Šumperk and Jeseník. The main output of this project is setting and publishing a monography (intended as a general public monography) reflexing both the period of transition and then consolidation of the local political systems, using the synchronic and diachronic comparisons of the particular systems´ development. The termini will be regarded the particular election acts within which the following elements - the factual election results, the influence of particular election system variables, the structure of after election coalitions and the occupation of the mayor´s positions will be analyzed. The monography will also focus on the party membership phenomena. Last but not least, the attention will be paid to the content form of the communal policy. The monography should answer the questions concerning the communal politics and policy formation and style.
