Many physicists and physicians described the influence of radon and its daughter products on human health and especially on cancer of lungs. In the year 1998 the powerfull and precise equipment LLM 500 (fy Muenchener Apparatebau, Germany) was buyed for the Dept. of Physics, Faculty of Education, MU Brno, The aim of the project are measurements of radon concentration in many parts of Moravia, comparison with previous measurements and with the map of geological subsoil.
