Předmět CORE: Mezinárodní organizace v?globalizovaném světě 21. století (MO23 CORE)

The application includes a completely new course designed for the CORE call and falling under the thematic area A) The World in the 21st Century: civilisation in a global context responds to the global evolution of international relations and introduces the main actors in contemporary state interactions. It responds to relations between countries, economic interdependence and other consequences of globalization that directly affect the behavior of international organizations.
The course is divided into four blocks (global organizations, regional, economic and security) and is structured as a series of lectures covering the basic framework of international intergovernmental organizations (UN, EU, RE, NATO, OSCE, OECD, etc.), especially those where the Czech Republic is a member. It thus offers MU students an extension of civic literacy within a broader framework. The lectures are not static, but also assume the topical supplementation of the interpretation with issues of international events that students will know from the media.
The course is provided with continuous didactic multiple choice tests and ends with a knowledge test in IS. The backbone of the course is an interactive curriculum structured by week, with each topic accompanied by a ppt presentation. The course will also include a discussion forum and links to primary sources, other professional readings, organization websites, etc.
The course is based on two core lecturers from the MVES department of FSS MU. The course instructors are veteran educators with experience teaching large courses and heterogeneous audiences. Both have long-standing above-average scores in student survey teacher evaluations.
