The main goal of this project is to design and implement surface modification of an intraocular lens or equivalent material. The modification will be based on the design of defined nanostructures on the surface of the sample and intraocular lens using a lithographic method, either directly or in combination with replica molding to enable imprinting of the patterned structure from a solid mold onto hydrophobic acrylic to regulate the opacification of posterior capsule cells of the eye causing secondary cataract.
