Sustainability, carbon footprint and conserving resources is a current trend in clinical research. Decentralisation, promoting digitalisation, scheduling visits and sampling, reducing number of samples are specific ways forward. Thus, sustainability permeates all aspects of a clinical trial. The GREEN-TRIALS project aims to create a set of training materials to introduce ways to ensure sustainability in academic clinical research, complemented by teacher's guides and a learning platform. All this to be used both for pilot teaching and for training of trainers.
