This project consists of the international scientific conference Young Economists' Meeting 2026 (YEM'26) and the MUES research seminars series 2026.
YEM'26 will be held at the Faculty of Economics and Administration (ECON MUNI) and its aim is to offer doctoral students and young academics the opportunity to present the results of their research and receive feedback from other participants. The conference will offer ample space for establishing scientific contacts and exchanging experience. The topic areas of the conference will correspond to the research interests of the participants from ECON MUNI: Behavioral/Experimental Economics, Labor Economics, Health Economics, and other Empirical Applied Economics. We expect that more than half of the conference participants will be from abroad. By connecting domestic young scholars with the international scientific community, we significantly support the research potential at the Faculty of Economics and Administration and allow scientists from ECON MUNI to gain insights into the scientific work of their colleagues abroad.
The aim of the MUES research seminar series is to enable doctoral students and academic staff to participate in discussions and become familiar with the current research of renowned academics (especially from abroad) and to consult with them about their own research in individual meetings.
Both the YEM and MUES are also aimed at increasing the visibility of ECON MUNI and to strengthen the impact that we have on the scientific community.
