DEEP-HEALTH establishes a new model of research excellence and institutional transformation dedicated to AI-augmented and data-enabled Health Technologies. With Greece as the lead country, DEEP-HEALTH builds a network of universities across Widening Europe to strengthen institutional capacity and enable HEIs to become active drivers of Europe’s digital health transformation. More specifically, through a structured collaboration between Widening and non-Widening HEIs, both parties gain mutual benefits: Widening HEIs gain access to advanced scientific expertise and digital infrastructures, thus developing state-of-the-art skills in the AI-augmented HealthTech sector and the institutional management. On the other hand, non-Widening HEIs benefit from expanded research networks and access to new pilot environments that can accelerate the progress of scientific excellence and increase the social impact.
